Resupplying Yourself
At long last... you can resupply yourself! (Well actually, when the Italian update is released....)
What is Call to Battle?
Striving for a realistic infantry experience, Call to Battle presents detailed models and combat mechanics.
It is based around historical, asymmetrical combat across all fronts of the war. Call to Battle brings back not only the nostalgic experience of America vs. Germany, but hopes to bring countries not observed by conventional games.
Call to Battle offers intense multiplayer conflicts throughout a large variety of maps and gamemodes, with over 15 different nations currently!
The Dream
Call to Battle has seen tens of thousands of hours put into it, the main dream is for large-scale battles that are both immersive and can teach people more about the largest conflict in history.
Another major dream is to represent all nations - even ones that many people don't know even fought in World War II. Call to Battle offers both the major nations, but also the less commonly touched fronts and battles. We hope to add as much as we can, if you give your support it will help that dream come to fulfillment someday!
At long last... you can resupply yourself! (Well actually, when the Italian update is released....)
Call to Battle's melee combat was always intended to be more than just "swing and hope you hit first". This is evident by the blocking feature, which unfortunately hasn't worked. Turns out, there were plenty of other planned melee features that the resources just weren't available to add.
Back in WW2, squads for many nations were built around their Support - the guy with the LMG. With the squad being built around them, Rifleman would often have extra ammo for the LMG to ensure their support gunner would be able to continue laying down suppressing fire at the enemy.
The XP system has always been an integral part of CtB 2. Leveling up your class allows you to use new primary weapons, and leveling up your nation level unlocks new sidearms.
After experiencing the BAR's stunning new model last update, we couldn't help but feel disappointment as we had to ditch it to stand a chance against the enemy. With only 20 rounds, high recoil, and a long reload the BAR was easily the worst LMG in the game. Until now!
Imperial Rising, is an update cycle centered around bringing battles where Japan is the one rising up, bringing the first maps to CtB where Japan is the attacker.
Festung Norwegen(Fortress Norway), is an update cycle centered around the brave defense of Norway.
The results of Call to Battle's fourth contest are in!
CtB's has come a long way over the past 8 years thanks to supporters like you.
There are still so many dreams for CtB, let's accomplish them together!
Call to Battle strives for realistic gunplay. Each of the over 200 guns and other weapons are heavily researched and carefully modeled to represent the original. Damage is based on the gun's caliber and calculated based on where you hit the enemy. Crouching, proning, melee attacks, and much more are also possible with Call to Battle!
An array of attachments also exist, if you have an applicable gun you can outfit it with bayonets, scopes, bipods, and more. Machine Guns can be deployed onto a block, or placed in a strategic position.
Launch mortars at your enemies, call in artillery, use flamethrowers and smoke grenades. Destruction physics and so much more features exist in Call to Battle, find out for yourself!
The following are some of the current gamemodes:
Assault
Storm the beaches of Normandy, Iwo Jima, or join a final assault on the Reichstag! Assault is a gamemode where one side is attacking, and the other is defending. The attacking team must advance and capture all enemy territory.
Engagement
An intense struggle between both sides, each is trying to capture all the territory to win.
Warzone
Territories are spread across huge battles such as Stalingrad, and each side must attempt to hold as much territory as possible. Territory can be captured in any order, leading to spontaneous skirmishes all across the battlefield!
Frontline
An ever-changing battlefield! Instead of traditional bases your objectives are forward points, which both teams must place in the attempt to control the map.
